You know how much I love telling the story of Italian excellence, especially when it comes from flair, personality and that capacity, all our own, of turning an object into a language.
This is one of those cases.
The brand is La Milanesa, a name many will already know. The creative soul is Cinzia Macchi, who has made true imagination a form of immediate, instinctive expression, outside the box.
Calling her eccentric bags merely that is almost reductive. La Milanesa is the name of the brand, but it also seems to be a sort of creative alter ego: explosive, colorful, personal, able to bring to the accessories market a free vision and, let me say it, a breath of fresh air.
The growth of the project, its communicative strength and the attention that national and international press have given it over time tell well of the interest built around this universe.
Today, following the journey more closely through work carried out with BE Management, I had the chance to admire the new collection presented this morning, June 9, in Milan, in the setting of Palazzo dell’Imperatore.
The 2027 collection of La Milanesa bags was presented to Italian and foreign agents at a meeting dedicated to the brand’s new commercial proposal.
It was she herself, Cinzia Macchi, designer and creative soul of La Milanesa, who told the story; with the Girotondo project she confirms the brand’s lively, material and deeply personal identity.
The new proposal puts at the center craftsmanship, the strength of materials and the character of the accessory. The bags are not conceived as simple complements, but as objects able to give personality to a look through fringes, weaves, bamboo handles, golden details, decorative applications and surfaces rich in texture.
To truly understand this universe, however, it isn’t enough to look at the finished product. You have to step ideally into its workshop, see how the creative process is born, how materials, shapes, intuitions, memory and instinct combine. That is where you best understand where this direct and personal language comes from.
Among the models presented, light and sunny bags emerge, built on natural materials and luminous tones, alongside more graphic and structured proposals, where the palette becomes a distinctive sign. Delicate light blues, greens, pinks, warm browns, mustard and burgundy make up a feminine, contemporary and immediate visual story.
The 2027 collection also shows the most ironic and pop side of La Milanesa, with bags decorated with three-dimensional applications and playful details. A language designed for a woman who loves to stand out, without giving up lightness.
With this presentation, La Milanesa confirms a precise direction: bringing to the world of the bag an idea of accessory that is identity-driven, handcrafted and strongly communicative, supported by a commercial proposal designed to dialogue with the Italian and international market.
