PITTI IMMAGINE: DE MATTEIS CONFIRMED AS PRESIDENT THROUGH 2028

Pitti Immagine bets on continuity. Eyes on the years ahead. Antonio De Matteis was confirmed as president for the 2026-2028 term. The decision came at the close of yesterday’s assemblies in Prato. A move that reshapes the company’s governance. And cements the renewal process launched in recent terms.

Earlier in the day, the board of directors of Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana met. Antonella Mansi chaired. Then came Pitti Immagine’s extraordinary shareholders’ meeting. Purpose: to approve expanding the board’s membership. The ordinary assembly followed. Both were chaired by De Matteis himself.

On the CFMI board’s recommendation, the assembly appointed Pitti Immagine’s new board of directors for 2026-2028. Antonio De Matteis stays on as president. Antonella Mansi is confirmed as vice president. Also remaining on the board: Giovanni Basagni, Stefano Borsini, Ercole Botto Poala, Marco Landi, Niccolò Moschini, Raffaello Napoleone, Lorenzo Nencini, and Marco Palmieri.

New directors join the ranks. Paolo Carrai, CEO of Via del Tè. Ivano Cauli, general manager of Pitti Immagine. And Laura Tonatto.

The board of auditors was also confirmed. Massimo Bianchi chairs. Deborah Sassorossi and Guido Ceron serve alongside him. Alternates: Giuseppe Cristiani and Roberto Vanni. Stepping down: Niccolò Ricci. He wraps up a six-year run. Ricci now serves as president of Polimoda. CFMI is among its founding members.

Commenting on the board renewal, Antonella Mansi called it a pivotal moment. The result of years of reorganization and innovation. Built alongside shareholders, directors, and internal teams. The vice president stressed Pitti Immagine’s strategic value. For the region. For the manufacturing sectors. The goal remains clear: strengthen its ability to evolve. Support Italian companies on the global stage. Especially now, in a fragile moment for the world economy.

Mansi added that De Matteis’s confirmation—backed by a refreshed yet stable board—signals Italian industry’s commitment. Fashion stays central. Thanks in part to ties with Confindustria Moda. And the trust reaffirmed in Pitti’s trade shows. Still, a choice was made to broaden the entrepreneurial mix. New directors come from food and fragrance. A move aligned with an increasingly lifestyle-driven vision for trade fair activities.
