DESIGN WEEK 2026
Milan is gearing up for Design Week 2026. It runs April 20–26. The calendar is packed with installations, exhibitions, pop-ups, and events. Fashion, design, beauty, craftsmanship, and lifestyle all come together. Between Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone, brands turn the city into a sprawling platform of ideas, visions, and collaborations.
Among the most anticipated names is Gucci. The house presents “Gucci Memoria”, a new exhibition curated by Demna at the historic Chiostri di San Simpliciano. The journey connects heritage and present through immersive installations, tapestries, and settings that highlight key moments in the maison’s history.
Buccellati also goes immersive with “Aquae Mirabiles”. The exhibition offers a poetic reinterpretation of the “Caviar” silver collection. Water and light become a theatrical narrative rooted in the Milanese house’s tradition.
On the fashion-meets-design front, Dior Maison renews its dialogue with Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance. He signs a new lamp series inspired by the “Corolle” line. The result is a refined blend of haute couture, blown glass, and decorative craftsmanship. Lightness and savoir-faire lead the way.
Among the most decorative offerings, Simone Guidarelli stands out. At Coin, he presents “King of the Roses”, his third porcelain collection for Weissestal. The project expands his visual world beyond tableware into bold home accessories.
Antonio Marras takes a more narrative, immersive approach. At NonostanteMarras, he builds a tribute to Sardinia. Memory, landscape, design, and conviviality merge. Furniture, surfaces, color, and hospitality create an atmosphere suspended between installation and stage design.
Design Week 2026 also confirms color as a key design language. Sesia&Co. presents new collaborations at Palazzo Bocconi. Among them is a partnership with My Style Bags. The brand’s color system enters the world of accessories and lifestyle.
Technology plays a role, too. Samsung presents “Design is an Act of Love”, curated by Mauro Porcini. It reflects on the human side of technology. Cupra pushes forward with research on materials, surfaces, and parametric design. The brand drives design toward a more experimental, identity-driven vision.
Other standout names include Loro Piana, exploring plaids and interior fabrics. Tacchini teams up with Faye Toogood at Casa Tacchini. Aesop presents an installation on light and craftsmanship. Zara takes over Palazzina Appiani with “Calma”, a sensory experience designed for stillness and contemplation.
Alongside major international brands, Milan’s design week makes room for leaner, more experimental formats. Pop-ups from DONE! and Neit join projects blending art, craftsmanship, and contemporary design. Examples include Doppia Firma with Arthur Arbesser and KnIndustrie at Superstudio Più.
Overall, Milan Design Week 2026 shapes up as one of the most cross-disciplinary editions in years. Less a product showcase. More a space for storytelling, atmosphere, and cultural positioning. A week where brands don’t just show objects. They build worlds.
