Pitti Immagine presents a special event dedicated to Ciro Paone: a portrait and tribute to one of the most charismatic Italian design entrepreneurs
At the next edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo (Florence, 10-13 January 2017), another exceptional protagonist will be added to the program of previously announced special events.
“DUE O TRE COSE CHE SO DI CIRO [TWO OR THREE THINGS I KNOW ABOUT CIRO]”, is the title of the event that Pitti Immagine has decided to devote to Ciro Paone, founder of Kiton and leading entrepreneur in Italian fashion. An exhibition project that will be presented under the artistic direction of Angelo Flaccavento.
“We at Pitti Immagine have always found Ciro Paone to be representative of friendliness, elegance, vision, and courage”, says Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, “and his work is an example of research and at the same time the protection of tradition. He represents the best in contemporary tailoring, and at the same time is one of the most enlightened entrepreneurs in Italian fashion: a history that starts in Naples, and from here, goes on to conquer the world. Two or three things I know about Ciro will take a dive into the taste, passion, and unrelenting devotion that rally in support of beauty, while also passing through the life and career of Ciro Paone. Our thanks go out to him and to the individuals who have shared in the company’s history, for what they have done and will do in the future”.
“On behalf of myself and the whole Paone family” adds Antonio De Matteis, CEO of Kiton, “I can confirm that this exhibition dedicated to my uncle is a huge honor, because Ciro Paone is the person who, more than any other, influenced our lives, our way of thinking and taught us his credo with dedication and passion. We would like to thank Pitti Immagine, one of the leading international men’s fashion fairs, for believing in Kiton right from its debut and for offering us such a prestigious scenario. The way in which Pitti has managed to renew itself in recent years confirms that the person managing the fair has done a truly exceptional job.”
