MADONNA ENCHANTS AT THE DOLCE & GABBANA FASHION SHOW: THE COLLECTION IS A TRIBUTE TO THE QUEEN OF POP

At Milan Fashion Week, Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring Summer 2025 show had a special guest: Madonna, world music icon and muse of the creative duo, who paid homage to her career and style in a memorable event. The pop star appeared wrapped in a black lace veil, crowned with gold and crystals, wearing a look designed by the fashion house that highlighted her magnetic presence and strong bond with the two Italian designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

Madonna is not just a celebrity guest, she is a central figure in the history of Dolce & Gabbana. Their collaboration began in the 90s, when the star, at the height of her career, wore a Dolce & Gabbana bustier to the premiere of her documentary “In Bed with Madonna” in Cannes, consolidating the brand’s international success. Since then, the relationship between the artist and the designers has evolved into a prolific collaboration and a lasting friendship.

The show wanted to pay homage to this iconic relationship. When the curtain opened, the models, still in plastic poses, wore blonde wigs, recalling the style that Madonna made famous in the 90s. The collection, a tribute to the singer and her ability to redefine fashion and femininity, was a journey through the archives of the brand, with revisited pieces such as the famous cone bra, strings, hooks and corsetry details, symbols of the Italian power of seduction.

The runway was transformed into a celebration of the powerful and provocative femininity embodied by Madonna: structured jackets, pencil skirt suits, lace dresses, all designed to enhance the female form, maintaining a balance between tradition and modernity. Opening the show, entitled “Italian Beauty”, was model Vittoria Ceretti, wrapped in a sheath dress with cone cups, a clear reference to Madonna’s legendary looks.

“This collection wants to pay homage to a female figure who has been able to play with her identity, asserting her personality in a strong and ironic way,” explained the brand. The entire show, between iconic pieces and contemporary reinterpretations, was a celebration not only of the pop star’s career, but also of the inseparable bond between fashion, music and female identity, a bond that Madonna and Dolce & Gabbana have been able to build and strengthen over the decades.
