Alberta Ferretti, nel suo défilé spring-summer 2025, trasforma il concetto dell’“insostenibile leggerezza dell’essere” di Milan Kundera in una narrazione sartoriale. «I miei abiti non sono costumi, ma vestiti pensati per essere vissuti qui e ora», afferma la stilista pochi istanti prima dell’inizio dello show. Siamo nelle sale del Museo della Scienza di Milano, luogo iconico dove arte e storia incontrano la moda. Tra vestiariste, truccatori e camici bianchi, il chiostro del convento dei monaci olivetani si prepara ad accogliere ospiti illustri, tra cui Ashley Graham, Kelly Rutherford e Virna Toppi, prima ballerina del Teatro alla Scala.
The show takes shape, and with it the idea of a reflective lightness. “The title of Kundera’s novel, The Unbearable Lightness of Being , came to mind . This is the unbearable lightness of fashion,” explains Ferretti. With this combination, the designer transforms the philosophy of the Czech author into a new sartorial vision: her dresses, light and impalpable, reflect an elegance that, while appearing ethereal, is deeply rooted in reality. The twists, pleats and laser cuts create garments that move like dreams, but are still designed for women who live in everyday life.
Ferretti contrasts bling bling with the sophistication of an iridescent monochrome, enhanced by high-quality craftsmanship. “Our collections are all born in Romagna, where expert craftsmen have preserved the knowledge of artisan tailoring for generations,” she proudly emphasizes. The light and natural tones, with sunny accents of orange and the inevitable black, define a new lightness. The wide and vaporous blouses replace the blazers, while the transparent skirts reveal shorts, in a silhouette punctuated by stripes in warm tones.
At the end, Lucio Battisti’s music caresses the room, while the models return to the catwalk. A sort of lucky charm for Ferretti, who mixes dream and concreteness in each of her creations. Soft femininity, which has always been a stylistic feature of the maison, evolves towards greater lightness without ever losing touch with reality.
True to herself, Alberta Ferretti confirms her vision: fashion is not an escape, but a part of everyday life. Her clothes, designed to be lived, become instruments of expression and beauty, in perfect balance between dream and reality.
