INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS FOR THE 105th EDITION OF PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO

PARTICIPATION DATA AND MARKET TRENDS

At the conclusion of the winter exhibitions of Pitti Immagine Uomo, there is a 4% increase in foreign buyers, both in terms of participants and a 6% increase in terms of sales points, compared to January 2023.

Contrarily, there is a slight decline in Italian data, as expected considering recent slowdowns in the domestic market, particularly in the last three or four months. Organizers anticipate a final participation of over 13,000 buyers, excluding other visitor categories, with 4,700 coming from abroad.

The top twenty countries in terms of participation include Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, France, Japan, the United States, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, China, Greece, South Korea, Portugal, Russia, Canada, Denmark, Poland, and Sweden.

Special attention is given to the ongoing recovery of major Asian markets, including Mainland China and Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and other emerging markets. Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, expresses a positive assessment of the initial days of the event, highlighting the widespread energy among stands, at special events, and in the city, attributing it to personal interactions within an international community of shared interests and culture.

Napoleone praises the quality of collections and the commitment of companies to present stylistic and material innovations aligned with new consumer trends. He further emphasizes the ability of retailers and buyers to select orders according to curatorial logics that integrate, without subordinating, to commercial needs, providing opportunities and visibility for experimentation, new generations, and fashion research.

The CEO of Pitti Immagine concludes by highlighting the importance of maintaining a dynamic balance between exhibition offerings and special projects, both within and outside the Fortezza da Basso. Finally, he expresses hope for the success of this edition in consolidating the strength and prestige of Italian fashion on the international stage.
