Florence, January 8, 2024 – As the doors of the winter salons of Pitti Immagine Uomo are set to open tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Fortezza da Basso for the 105th edition, attention shifts to the Grand Gala organized by the Center of Florence for Italian Fashion. Presided over by Antonella Mansi, the event promises to be an excellent showcase of style and elegance.
The gala dinner, scheduled for tomorrow evening, will take place in the sumptuous Salone delle Feste of Villa Mediceo Lorenese, recently restored by the Ferragamo family in honor of Fulvia Ferragamo Visconti, a prominent figure in the fashion world who frequented the same places in her youth.
The white hall of festivities at Poggio Imperiale, adorned with late eighteenth-century stucco, is now renamed Sala Incontri Fulvia Ferragamo Visconti. An homage inaugurated last November on the bicentenary of the school, with the participation of the family of the world’s most famous fashion footwear designer, Salvatore Ferragamo, and the president of the Educandato, Giorgio Fiorenza. Since 2016, Fiorenza has tirelessly fought for the international prestige and restoration of this culturally significant institution.
“These results testify to the effectiveness of the State when it works,” proudly declares President Giorgio Fiorenza, emphasizing the years of hard work that preceded this achievement. An unmissable opportunity for fashion enthusiasts, where history merges with elegance in an unprecedented union. Stay tuned for further details on this and other events.
